A piece of ID must be left as a deposit for all rentals. Travel passports are not accepted as a form of ID for the deposit.

Padlock Rental

A lock is provided to keep your personal belongings safe in the available lockers.

ACCESS AND RESERVATION

1DO I NEED TO RESERVE IN ADVANCE OR PURCHASE TICKETS TO ACCESS THE ROLLER RINK?
Access to the roller rink at Esplanade Tranquille is free and open to everyone. To rent roller skates and related equipment, simply visit our rental counter located inside the Esplanade Tranquille pavilion. Online reservations are not available.
2HOW LONG WILL THE ROLLER RINK BE OPEN?
For its first edition, the roller rink will be open from September 5 to October 25, 2026. You’ll have until October 25 to come and enjoy it!
3DOES THE ROLLER RINK CLOSE IF IT RAINS?
The roller rink must close in the event of heavy rainfall.

ROLLER RINK AND SKATE RENTALS

1IS THERE A TIME LIMIT ON THE ROLLER RINK?
The recommended skating time is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the roller rink. If you rent roller skates, you may keep them for a maximum of 2 hours.
2IS THERE A MAXIMUM CAPACITY ON THE ROLLER RINK?
Yes, the roller rink has a maximum capacity of 400 people at a time.
3WHAT IS THE TOTAL SKATING SURFACE AREA?
The roller rink has a total surface area of 1,500 square metres.
4WHERE IS THE SKATE RENTAL COUNTER LOCATED?
Our rental counter is located inside the pavilion on the ground floor (Repaire). Equipment rentals are available for a maximum of 2 hours. A piece of ID must be left as a deposit.
5ARE ROLLER-SKATING LESSONS OFFERED?
If you’d like to learn or improve your technique, Montreal-based shop Lowlife offers several free introductory sessions each week, led by two instructors and suitable for all skill levels.
6IS THERE A PLACE WHERE I CAN STORE MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS?
There is a changing area located inside the pavilion (Le Repaire), with lockers available free of charge. You can bring your own lock or rent one at our rental counter.
7WHERE CAN I RETRIEVE A LOST ITEM?
If you have lost a personal item at Esplanade Tranquille, please visit the welcome desk inside the pavilion. Speak to a staff member wearing a red uniform for assistance.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

1ARE THERE RESTROOMS AVAILABLE?
Universal restrooms are available inside the pavilion.
2CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINKS ON SITE?
You may bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages inside the pavilion and in the outdoor areas of Esplanade Tranquille. However, food and drinks are not permitted on the roller rink. Please note that bringing or consuming alcohol on site is strictly prohibited.

RULES

1IS WEARING A HELMET MANDATORY?
Wearing a helmet is not mandatory on the roller rink. However, it is recommended if you do not have much roller-skating experience.
2CAN I ACCESS THE ROLLER RINK WITHOUT ROLLER SKATES?
Access to the rink in shoes or boots is not permitted. Scooters and skateboards are also prohibited. If you don’t have roller skates, we’ve got you covered! Visit us inside the pavilion (Le Repaire), and we’ll get you properly equipped!
3CAN I BRING MY PET?
Unless otherwise specified for a particular event, pets are allowed on the Esplanade Tranquille site, but they are not permitted on the roller rink.
4ARE CHILDREN WELCOME AT THE ROLLER RINK?
Children are, of course, welcome! Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Carrying children in your arms or in a baby carrier is not permitted on the rink. Strollers are also prohibited, except on Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 3 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
